Lighting for hotels

Font Barcelona’s wallwashers, from its 5.1 collection, cast a long beam of light. When these are placed on a wall, the space around them is defined in a subtle yet powerful way. A wallwasher is a feature incorporated into a space, and usually marks out an interior as successful and aesthetically pleasing.

Created by Barcelona-based design studio Guimerà i Cinca, this indirect LED light is available in various sizes – 100mm, 45mm and 900mm – although the wallwasher’s length can be customised.

This light allows lighting to take centre-stage in the most cutting-edge interior design projects, including hotels. It can expand in size, transforming the space into a room with a very contemporary, upscale feel, and illuminates all surfaces and objects evenly.

Font Barcelona is a new company owned by the Barcelona-based Fontini group. The latter began by specialising in electrical goods, later expanding into the worlds of interior design and decoration. With Font Barcelona, Fontini has introduced the manufacture of cutting-edge mechanisms used in architecture as well as made-to-measure goods, including switches and lighting.
