…Among them, its Dazzle collection and a new lighting line.
Lladró, the iconic Spanish maker of porcelain homeware, recently unveiled its latest collections at the Paris trade fairMaison & Objet – and in the same year that the company marks its 60th anniversary.
Particularly striking among its new designs is its Dazzle collection. Developed for its brand Lladró Atelier, this has a new decorative theme inspired by a camouflage style and based on a complex pattern of geometric forms. This pattern contrasts black and white in a dynamic, graphic way, transforming some of the brand’s existing pieces by injecting new energy into them.
The company has also reaffirmed its commitment to producing lighting by launching an impressive chandelier and a new collection of table lamps created using some of the firm’s existing figures. The broad spectrum of styles and sizes of lighting Lladró offers means it suits a wide variety of interiors.
Lladró also unveiled a new pair of its Guests figures decorated this time by the renowned American artist Gary Baseman. These form part of the existing Guests collection – an open-ended project that invites leading artists from all over the world to give a new, distinctive look to a porcelain character originally created by designer Jaime Hayón.
As for Lladró’s l’art de la table line, standout new pieces include fresh additions to its elegant dinner service Naturofantastic. These elegant and practical designs fuse fantastical elements with exuberant plant forms.
Boasting a long-established tradition of artistry and far-reaching international presence – as proved by the recent opening of its new shop in New York – the company continues today to invest in exploring fresh styles of art porcelain via its new collections, without turning its back on its roots.
