New designs by Escofet

Slimconcrete and Plástico - two new, street furniture collections.

Urban furniture company Escofet has recently presented its new Slimconcrete and Plástico ranges.

Slimconcrete, as the name suggests, allows for the production of slimmer, more refined designs. The material used is ultra high performance concrete (UHPC) which is, for those who haven't looked into it, a composite cement reinforced with tiny steel fibres. As well giving more design options, because less concrete is needed to make a product, it's considered more eco-friendly.

Escofet is also moving into rotation moulded polypropylene for some products, such as the Sit range by Diego Fortunato.

Escofet’s new collections were shown at Construmat 2013 in Barcelona. This year's event focused on sustainability and innovation. Nearly 350 companies exhibited some 1500 products across a wide range of sectors that included insulation, construction, heating, lighting, soundproofing and waterproofing.
