Pale beech – the latest trend to come from Cancio

The kitchen furniture company plumps for this finish for its Fantasy and Eclipse chairs and Fusion table.

Kitchen furniture company Cancio recently unveiled some new chairs and a table in a new finish – pale beech. This is made by applying a special dye to the wood which removes the reddish tone typically found in European beech. The resulting wood tone is natural and warm, and, being neutral, can be easily combined with other materials and colours.

Cancio has opted for this finish for two new chairs – Fantasy and Eclipse. Fantasy pairs a pale beech frame with a monocoque seat in coloured polycarbonate – a combination of materials that’s attractive and goes well with all other types of furniture. The Eclipse chair, meanwhile, fuses the same pale beech frame with a plywood seat that’s lacquered in different colours. The same mix of materials can be found in Cancio’s Fusion table. Of all the finishes available for these pieces, the most popular is a beech finish in white.

Cancio manufactures and exports its chairs, tables and kitchen stools from its base in Villalba de los Alcores in Valladolid, northern Spain.
