A range of wooden stools designed by Sohei Arao.
The contemporary furniture company Punt Mobles has just unveiled its Bevel stool, created by Sohei Arao, the first piece produced by a Japanese designer for the Spanish firm.
Bevel is a range of stools available in various heights which are made taking full advantage of the ease with which wood-based products can be manufactured. The sloping inner parts of the legs give the stool structural strength and result in a form that looks different depending on what angle you’re seeing it from. A set of various pieces in a room can create a beautifully harmonious space. Bevel is made of beech and its seats are lacquered, textured or upholstered.
Founded in Valencia in 1980, Punt Mobles produces furniture for the domestic and contract markets in a contemporary, functional style. Among the designs it has unveiled this year the most notable are the extending table Transalpina, designed by CuldeSac, the simple and gorgeous Mai Tai trolley by Odosdesign and the stackable chair Whiskey, which doesn’t obviously look like a stacking chair, produced by British designer Terence Woodgate.
