RS Barcelona’s Joint Venture

The idea behind a Bookshelf called Joint Venture, designed by Matt Gagnon and manufactured by RS Barcelona, is that a modular set of tubes, plus shelves lend themselves to being configured in countless ways; the piece can therefore be as complex or as simple as the user wishes.

The shelves, which can be arranged in four different ways, can be joined together to create patterns that can be repeated and combined along the entire the bookshelf. What’s more, you don’t need any screws to assemble it.

The shelves are so slender they seem to disappear from view, such that the objects and books on them form irregular shapes that look physically impossible. The bookshelves are perfect for both offices and living rooms.

The brand RS always looks for new visual languages and forms of expression for furniture. They like to see objects with fresh ideas in order to dream up new concepts and original ideas, their sole aim being to inject a small dose of happiness into our lives.
