Following the global success of its Ostrich Pillow, the firm unveils this fun, portable light.
Studio Banana has just launched its highly original, moveable, hexagonal Kangaroo light — its latest innovative, informal piece, created for design studio Kawamura-Ganjavian.
Kangaroo is a portable, interactive, fun light which meets different, personal needs. It’s sensitive to the touch, allowing its users to select a light setting to suit their mood. Its intelligent design and well-chosen materials allow its users to carry it around wherever they want and to illuminate any object. This ingenious design can be used as a torch, a reading light, night light or even to shine light into the inside of a bag. In short, it has the potential to illuminate anything within the scope of the user’s imagination.
Kawamura-Ganjavian is a Madrid-based architecture and design studio co-founded in 2000 by Key Portilla-Kawamura and Ali Ganjavian. In 2006, they set up the international, multidisciplinary creative platform Studio Banana, which comprises a group of young creatives who offer their clients a number of services and products and its members an inspiring work environment. In 2013, Kawamura-Ganjavian, in collaboration with Studio Banana, created Ostrich Pillow, an internationally acclaimed, highly functional object that offers a micro-environment that’s perfect for taking a comfortable nap wherever you are.
