Vibia and Nanimarquina receive Wallpaper* Design Awards this year

For Wireflow pendant lights collection and Earth rug respectively.

This year, Spanish firms Vibia and Nanimarquina have each scooped a Wallpaper* Design Award. These awards are given annually by the prestigious, British glossy Wallpaper*, one of the world’s most influential design and style magazines. 

 
Lighting company Vibia won the Best Line Work of 2014 award for its pendant light Wireflow, designed by Arik Levy and shown at the Euroluce lighting exhibition at the Milan Furniture Fair last year. Like lines drawn in space, Wireflow plays with the viewer’s perspective, resulting in a thoroughly innovative and contemporary chandelier.

Nanimarquina also won a Wallpaper* 2014 prize for its Earth rug from its Natural collection — a line of rugs which evokes the natural world. The rug captures the intrinsic beauty of organic fibres, while making a strong link with nature.

Nanimarquina, meanwhile, has been designing rugs and textiles since 1987, and invests hugely in researching and selecting raw materials in the processes involved in making its products.
