A series of fun, animal-shaped coathooks designed for Balvi.
Multidisciplinary design studio Yang:Ripol recently unveiled Spino and Blue Finn, a range of wall-hung coathooks designed for Barcelona-based company Balvi.
Spino and Blue Finn is a collection of fun, wall-hung coathooks shaped like a hedehog in yellow (Spino) and a fish in blue (Blue Finn). The original, fun, informal pieces are made of powder-coated metal and are used to keep or display different objects and items of clothing, among other things.
Yang:Ripol was founded in 2011 by Royal College of Art graduates Spanish-born Claudio Ripol and South Korean Yeonju Yang. Its philosophy is to create functional, hard-wearing designs that are also unique and special; one of their strengths is their multicultural quality. The studio is either commissioned by clients or initiates its own projects for which it then hopes to find clients, which in turn determines the approach taken and ideas pursued. Yang:Ripol’s products are typically simple and modern.
Balvi has been a purveyor of original, contemporary-looking homeware and gifts since 1963. Notable products include tables, stools, coathooks, kitchen and bathroom accessories, alarm clocks, photo frames, and many other types of gifts.
