Spanish companies have continued to garner top design awards in Europe and the US

From New York to London via Milan and Hannover, Spanish design has been impressing judging panels and winning accolades.

In New York at the recent Interior Design Magazine's Best of Year (BOY) awards, it was a great night for RS Barcelona, Vibia, Arturo Alvarez and surface manufacturer Cosentino. Vibia's already much garlanded Wireflow light system won the Best Pendant Lighting category, while Cosentino's Dekton compact surface material won in the Exciting Indoor/Outdoor Solutions category.

In Hannover, Six Spanish products have won a coveted 2015 iF Award and can now display the red iF logo that's recognized across the world. iF awards date back to 1953 and are administered in Hannover. They recognize design excellence across product design, packaging, communication, interior architecture and professional concepts.

Barcelona lighting company Parachilna was given the 'Best New Brand 2015' award by Wallpaper* magazine at its award ceremony in London. Parachilna launched last year with three distinctive collections by three star designers: Jaime Hayón; Stephen Burks, and Jordi Veciana.
