New Summer issue of Design in/from Spain magazine for smartphones and tablets

Welcome to our 9th issue, which of course brings you the latest Spanish launches unveiled to an international audience at the Milan Furniture Fair. If you didn't make it over there yourself, sit back, put your feet up and enjoy our extensive picture-led review of this design extravaganza.

Euroluce ran alongside the furniture fair and we bring you the newest designs from Spain's top lighting companies including Vibia, Marset, Arturo Alvarez, B.lux and Bover.

Ceramic tiles are in the ascendant when it comes to surface materials and that's because  products are becoming so exciting both in terms of design and size. We look at Tile of Spain's latest trend report, which is sure to whet your appetite for ceramic.

We also talk to one of Spain's leading tile manufacturers, Peronda, which puts innovation  are the heart of the business. R&D is crucial to its performance and it also tells us that to ensure fresh thinking, it likes to work with independent design studios such as Mut and Dsignio.

Top designer Martin Azúa is the subject of our profile slot, and he tells us that designing products that improve our daily lives is what he loves doing best. He also explains why he likes to collaborate with small craft studios and designer-makers and urges everyone in design to prioritise environmental considerations.

Tagar Industries is an interesting company because it makes furniture for such a varied clientele – from hotels and corporate headquarters to primary schools and more recently libraries. It tells us about its new library collection, Bábilon, which has been designed to update the interiors of these public spaces that have traditionally been rather drab.

We let you know who's won in the 2015 Red Dot, iF, and Elle Decoration awards, while congratulations are due to Andreu World on the opening of its new showroom in Dubai.
