Three cheers for Spanish design

Given the growth in demand for vaping products, it's not surprising that industrial designers are being called on to design products that look good as well as work well. And judges at this year's iF awards were impressed by Mormedi's work for Swiss company Nexvap.
Now in its 60th year, the 2015 Red Dot awards received just under 5,000 entries - the highest in its history.The renowned German design scheme accepts entries in 31 categories, from lighting, furniture and kitchenware to consumer electronics, packaging, jewellery and toys.
Both Vibia and Nanimarquina have been heavily garlanded over the past year, and they can now add Elle Decoration Awards to their respective mantelpieces.
