ODOS
Spanish rug brand Gan has just unveiled its reversible rug, Duna, created by design studio Odosdesign
Duna is woven using the kilim technique originally deployed by nomadic Persian tribes. It’s inspired by a combination and superimposition of similar translucent lines reminiscent of watercolours, mixing lines and creating a monochrome screen that simulates 3D forms. The rug’s blend of grey tones, superimposition of lines and detail of coral-coloured backstitch makes it suitable for every type of space — be it a living room, bedroom or waiting room. María Mengual, one of the piece’s designers, says, ‘Duna is the result of applying a geometric graphic motif to the design of a rug, of aiming to produce a rug in neutral colours, which will suit elegant, Mediterranean-style interiors, mimic Arabic kilims and simulate desert dunes, while looking much more European and modern.’
Founded in Valencia in 2015, Odosdesign stands out for its comprehensive service, multidisciplinary character and ability to undertake complete design projects for companies and institutions.
