Anniversary celebrations for Kettal, Gandía Blasco and Andreu World

In case you're not familiar with these brands' interesting back stories, we thought you might like a quick run through on their rise to fame:

Gandía Blasco

The company continues to be based in Valencia where it was founded in 1941 as a family business producing blankets for the army and for hospitals. Today it's known for cutting-edge design in rugs and outdoor furniture - and that move into wider contemporary markets came about in the 1980s when the company was facing strong competition from low-cost foreign blanket manufacturers.

Kettal

Kettal outdoor furniture is found at luxury hotels around the world and it's known for timeless modern design and robust quality.

The business was founded in 1966 by Manuel Alorda and it has always concentrated on what it does best: engineering quality products using aluminium as the core material.

Andreu World

Another Valencia company, Andreu World started life in 1956 as a small carpentry workshop.
While wood remains at the heart of its furniture, the company has embraced technological advancements in manufacturing which have allowed it to grow into a leading maker of high quality products for different markets: Andreu World makes classic-contemporary furniture for the home, workplaces and for the gamut of hospitality interiors such as hotels, restaurants and leisure complexes.
