Spring issue of Design in/from Spain magazine for smartphones and tablets

Hello and a warm welcome to our spring issue. We may be coming up to the Milan Furniture Fair. but the design industry has, of course, had a busy run since Christmas with major fairs in Cologne, Paris, Valencia and Stockholm. We bring you in-depth reviews of Imm, Maison & Objet, Habitat Valencia and the Stockholm Furniture Fair, featuring all the latest products launched by Spain's furniture, lighting and decorative accessory brands.

Spanish design continues to reach new audiences on the ground. Porcelanosa has invested in a stunning new showroom in Manhattan, while Andreu World has opened a second showroom in India, in New Delhi. And talking of Andreu World, we extend our congratulations on the company's upcoming 60th birthday, as well as to Gandía Blasco and Kettal which respectively turn 75 and 50 this year.

Every industry likes its work to be acknowledged -  and there are some very well-known awards schemes that honour the design sector. We bring you the latest on who's won what in the recent iF to BOY and FX to Elle Deco International Design Awards.

For this issue we talk to two Basque Country companies – contract furniture makers Ondarreta, and Treku, which makes high quality and very stylish furniture for the residential market, focusing on storage products. And we interview a groovy young ceramicist who's persuaded his potter parents to let him take their studio in new directions. He is one Xavier Mañosa of Barcelona's Apparatu.
