SPANISH DESIGN AT THE MILAN FURNITURE FAIR
From 12 to 17 April, we’re immersing ourselves in the Milan Furniture Fair. This will be the 55th year of this annual, world-renowned fair showcasing design and homeware.
Eighty Spanish companies representing the best Spanish design and furniture will be converging at three events in Milan — the Furniture Fair, EuroCucina and International Bathroom Exhibition.
Seventy Spanish domestic and contract furniture companies will exhibit at the main Fieramilano venue in the Rho area. These include such well-known outdoor furniture companies as Vondom, Gandía Blasco, Kettal, Expormim, Point and Resol; avant-garde furniture companies including Andreu World, BD Barcelona Design, Stua, Capdell, Sancal, Enea, Punt Mobles, Mobles 114, Ondarreta and Treku; rug companies such as Nanimarquina and Naturtex and upholstered furniture firms like Fama and Tapizados Moradillo. Also present, as they have been in previous years, will be such high-end brands as Colección Alexandra, Guadarte, Mariner, Tecninova, Amboan, Ascensión Latorre, Camus Collection and Época Internacional.
Four kitchen companies will exhibit at EuroCucina — Gamadecor, Pico, Doca, y Dica — while six leading companies in the ceramic surfaces sector — Cosentino, Apavisa, Aparici, Industrias Cosmic, Inbani and Fiora — will converge at the International Bathroom Exhibition.
Finally, Spanish companies will also be taking part in the Fuorisaloni events (scattered all over the city): 21 young Spanish designers will be showing as part of the gallery space Beluga Concept in the Lambrate district, Basque Design Industries, organised by Asociación de Diseñadores de Euskadi (EIDE), will bring together 12 designers and companies in Tortona, the firm Inalco’s exhibition entitled Home Experience will be shown in the Spazio Fiorichiari, while various events and exhibitions will be put on by such as brands as Cosentino, Kriskadecor and Lladró.
