Spanish lighting manufacturer B.lux and studio Stone Designs have collaborated on an interior design and lighting project — the dining room of Coca-Cola’s HQ in Madrid.
For Stone Designs, the main objective of this project was to reflect the spirit of this world-famous soft-drinks brand. To that end, it plumped for a decor in which vibrant, cheerful colours loomed large in combination with noble materials, such as natural oak. This idea is reflected too in the project’s lighting for which Stone Designs chose its pendant lights Castle and Scout. Castle is a circular light that allows the user to join together various elements to create a truly original design, while Scout can be pointed in different directions to illuminate the dining tables; its red finish echoes Coca-Cola’s corporate colour. Both lamps cast a focused beam of light and stand out for being energy-efficient. The resulting space has lighting of a very high quality that evokes a cosy, domestic atmosphere designed to make those who use it feel at home.
Stone Designs was founded in 1995 by Cutu Mazuelos and Eva Prego. This Madrid-based product and interior design studio is known for its open mind yet committed approach, which has led it to undertake many projects with a personal feel, carried out with total freedom. The Castle and Scout lights were designed for B.lux in 2015 and 2014 respectively. Stone Designs’ other creations for this brand are its A4, A3 and Ireland lights.
B.lux is part of the B.lux group, which comprises this company and another brand, Vanlux. Founded in 1979 in the Basque municipality of Marquina, it produces unfailingly innovative and contemporary lighting collections.
