Nomon gave us a heads up on its first wall clock and furniture designs for 2017.
The Spanish company has just unveiled its new “Graphite” and “Mini-Bilbao” indoor clock collections. “Graphite” blends the natty elegance of versatile black with a metal finish for clocks with a touch of class that will feel at home anywhere. The combination of graphite with walnut infuses a traditional flavour with a contemporary attitude. “Mini Bilbao” is a smaller version of Nomon bestseller “Bilbao”. Simply designed and lightweight, its single fibreglass ring with stylish walnut detail and graphite trim is the perfect answer for small spaces.
What’s more, the Spanish brand has also just presented the “Emperador” marble-finish console tables, a clothes valet and coat stand for its “Nomon Home” range. This new home line took off in 2016 with the launch of “Única” and “Momentos”, two collections of adaptable pieces of furniture, including shelves, a hall stand, dressing table, console and side table, all made from natural materials like walnut or marble, where innovation is teamed with practicality. In the wake of its success, the company is now launching new items which make the perfect companion for its quirky clocks.
Nomon was founded in Barcelona in 2001 by industrial designer José María Reina and jewellery designer Ángels Arrufat to restore clocks to their former glory with pride of place on the walls of homes and offices. It has since become a leading name in the creation of wall clocks, which are handmade using a combination of traditional methods and state-of-the-art techniques. As evidence of its global, over 80% of its turnover is now exported to more than 70 countries worldwide.
