At Habitat Valencia Fair, InteriorsfromSpain had chance to discover the latest designs from upholstered furniture-maker Cármenes.
To unveil this year’s new products, the company went for a four-space stand, showcasing this season’s creations alongside other items from the catalogue.
The new collections included pieces by designer Francesc Rifé: “Sam” is a sofa/armchair set, while “Bud” comprises armchair, bench and table, and “Blanc” a sofa. All created with the contract channel and installations in mind, they can also be used for the home. Designer Jorge Pensi is back with another partnership with the company, this time in the shape of versatile sofa “Lima”.
This year the company has also worked with two new design studios which have made products defined by elegance and versatility. One is Estudio Savage, which created armchair “Norman” for the IMM trade show in Cologne earlier this year, and has now designed the retro-modern sofa and armchair set “Numeral”. The second is Cármenes stand designer La Mamba Studio which has created the “Mole” set of customisable poufs and “Downtown” round tables, in simple lines available in various finishes and material combinations.
In short, Cármenes has gone for an image overhaul for the coming year, with a new catalogue featuring its renowned signature products, remastered and photographed to reflect this brand new look
