NOW Carpets unveils KO collection by Francesc Rifé

Rug-makers NOW carpets have launched their KO collection, designed by Francesc Rifé.

KO is the result of designer/interior designer Francesc Rifé’s fascination with the oeuvre of American painter and engraver Mark Rothko. Rifé has produced five rugs that serve as a bamboo-silk canvas for Rothko’s colour palette, ranging from delicate pastels to intense warm shades and melancholy dark tones. Abstract expressionism is just the starting point for an in-depth exploration of light and colour combinations in a collection that revolves around geometry.

Francesc Rifé is one of NOW Carpets most prolific rug designers. His latest contributions to the series include: Sweets, Ring, Ona, Necklace and Leaf. His orderly approach to design, inclination for natural materials and commitment to his customers have made him one of Spain’s best-known designers.
