The designer furniture and equipment firm, Sellex, which specialises in contract projects, has furnished the Private University of Lima, one of the most prestigious university complexes in Peru.
To furnish the facilities, the Spanish firm selected several collections from its range of designer furniture to give a contemporary feel to the building, where education and innovation are valued as mechanisms that can change the world.
Installations in the university’s waiting areas include the SLAM Wooden Leg chair, designed by Lievore Altherr Molina, the BACK lounge chair, created by Burkhard Vogtherr, and the MIX table, made by the firm’s design team. The meeting rooms feature the SLAM Pyramidal chair by Lievore Altherr Molina and the board rooms include the LORCA table, designed by the Abad Diseño studio, the DON chair, created by Gemma Bernal, and the BACK modular seating system, designed by Burkhard Vogtherr. Finally, the lounge areas are furnished with SET barstools, created by Mario Ruiz and ZUBI tables, conceived by Abad Diseño.
Sellex was founded 40 years ago in San Sebastián, as a manufacturer of designer Scandinavian-inspired furniture. Over the years, Sellex has based its business strategy on specialising in the development of designer furniture for contract projects and on a commitment to collaborate with reputable Spanish and international designers. The firm’s recent projects include the waiting lounges at Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris and the Leixoes cruise terminal in Porto (Portugal), both of which feature the AERO bench by Lievore Altherr Molina, the Library at the Kulturpalast in Dresden (Germany), which includes the SLAM chair, and the waiting areas at Tachikawa Hospital in Nagaoka (Japan), equipped with the BULDU bench, designed by Mario Ruiz.
