Jurassic World: The Fallen Kingdom, the new instalment of the well-known dinosaur movie saga directed by the Spanish director Juan Antonio Bayona, has just debuted. One of our international designers, Andreu Carulla, anticipated the premiere a few months ago, presenting the Wild Ware cutlery, whose handles reflect the anatomy of these animals.
The idea came about when noticing that one of his children’s toy dinosaurs were always at the table and were often used instead of cutlery. Why not design a collection inspired by his games? That is how this series made up of a spoon and a fork in solid polished brass was born, which plays with the physical features of the object, the utensil, and the prehistoric animal.
The Wild Ware cutlery collection is used to taste chef Jordi Roca’s famous desserts at his Michelin three-star restaurant Celler de Can Roca and it was also sold at Rossana Orlandi’s gallery during the last Milan design week, together with other pieces by this Spanish designer such as the new RR201 stool, created as part of the “Roca Recycles” project with the aim of achieving a space with zero waste through the use of design. They also appear in episode three of the Netflix series Chef’s Table Pastry, dedicated to Jordi Roca, the best pastry chef in the world in 2014.
