The shapes formed by drops of water falling on flat surfaces have inspired the design of the new Droplet stools, created by Claesson Koivisto Rune Architects for Spanish designer furniture maker Capdell.
These original stools are striking for their versatility and come in different sizes, ranging from 50 to 150 centimetres. Their organic silhouettes can be used in various ways, by simply modifying the angle at which piece is placed in the space in question. The result is a collection of eight stools in diverse shapes that can be put together in an infinite number of ways, creating a warm yet sophisticated setting within any architectural space.
Last year Capdell celebrated 50 years in the design and production of tables and chairs in contemporary designs which not only inspire people but also help create healthy, sustainable spaces to enhance wellbeing. To achieve this, they involve both Spanish and international designers in their creations, including Gabriel Teixidó, Claesson Koivisto Rune, Fiorenzo Dorigo, Lucy Kurrein, Marcel Sigel, Mario Ruiz, Patrick Noguet, Carlos Tiscar, Francesc Rifé, Vicente Soto and Yonoh.
