Feria Habitat Valencia opened to professionals from the world of interior design and decoration from 18 to 21 September, and Interiors from Spain was there again to discover the latest designs and ideas from Spanish furniture and lighting businesses. This year, 415 companies took part in a show which received over 26,200 professional visitors from more than 56 countries, 15% more than in 2017.
In parallel, a host of additional activities and events took place in parallel both inside and outside the show. These included Salon Nude for young designers, an exhibition featuring designer Mario Ruiz, who won the Spanish National Design Award in 2016 and an interesting series of lectures on “Craft and Design”, “The Future of the Contract Channel”, and “Interior Design Trends 2018-2012” to name a few. Once again, there was chance to hear talks by the ANIEME and FEDAI associations on subjects of interest to the furniture and lighting professional, such as “The world of e-commerce and the online market” and “Instagram and its use in B2B”.
Habitat Valencia was spread over four of the convention centre’s pavilions. Pavilion 2 was given over to more contemporary style furniture and lighting. It included new brands like Miter, the new furniture editor by design studio Odosdesign, Momocca Design and Mobboli, the new brand from Delaoliva. We had chance to inspect the latest designs in seating, sofas and tables by contemporary furniture brands like Andreu World, Capdell, Point, Carmenes JMM, Vondom, Viccarbe, Expormim, Inclass, Treku, Ondarreta, Grassoler, Joquer, Koo International and Belta&Frajumar.
Finally, exhibiting in Pavilions 1 and 3 were leading names in sleep and relaxation, modern furniture and upholstery like Fama or Gamamobel while Pavilion 4 featured top Spanish high-end décor companies like Tecninova, Mariner, Colección Alexandra, Hurtado and Guadarte and upmarket lighting brands like Riperlamp and Copenlamp.
