Kriskadecor aluminium ring curtains decorate numerous hotels, restaurants and cafés across Europe. We unveil their latest projects in France, Russia and Switzerland.
Along the Route des Grands Crus, in the heart of the French wine-making region of Burgundy, is the Novotel Dijon. The hotel – which was renovated in 2019 – showcases two design solutions by this Spanish firm. The first, located in the lobby, consists of 39 curved sections of metal mesh, resulting in a vibrant burst of technicolour. The second design solution – in the restaurant – is a high-definition image that separates two spaces. This element enhances the feeling of spaciousness of the rooms and allows daylight to flood in.
Kriskadecor's decorative solutions can also be seen at a recently opened Karavaevi Café franchise in Moscow's Alekséi district. The design for this café-bakery plays with shapes made of anodized aluminium links in a bright shade of apricot. The eight decorative elements by Kriskadecor include six delicate tiered hanging lamps, and two undulating ceiling solutions that also serve as light fixtures. The latter, consisting of 5 chain veils, not only embellish the premises but also create an intimate space that make customers feel at home.
Lastly, in the heart of Thurgau, a canton in the north-east of Switzerland, is the family-run hotel and restaurant Landgasthof Löwen. On its logo is a lion (Löwen in German), which gives its name to the hotel. Kriskadecor created a high definition image of this majestic feline in matt colours, which goes perfectly with the shades of brown in the restaurant where wood is used to great effect.
