The Swiss town of Neuhausen stands on the banks of the Rhine, very close to the famous waterfalls that are the largest Central Europe. This town is home to the headquarters of aseptic packaging company SIG, which are located in a recently renovated historic industrial building. Architectural firm Dost Architektur was commissioned to refurbish the building, and created an interior design with spaces that flow into each other and encourage interaction and teamwork.
To light the building's lobby, lounges, kitchen, library and staircase, the designers chose the Sticks collection designed for Vibia by Arik Levi, which offers a creative toolkit for integrating light into a space. This family of luminaires combines technology, space and architecture through its elegant aluminum rods, which transform linear light into a floating sculpture. Available in three sizes and combinable so that installations can be customized, the rods rotate on their own axis, allowing the light to be directed as required.
The Sticks collection has won multiple international awards, such as the "Best of Year (BoY) 2021 in the architectural lighting category, a prize awarded by the American magazine Interior Design, the Good Design Awards 2021, in the Lighting category, awarded every year by the Chicago Athenaeum, and the prestigious Architizer A + Product Awards, which reward the most innovative luminaires in the sector, where 2021 Sticks was a winner in the "Decorative and Free-standing Lighting" category.
The Spanish firm manufactures luminaires that seek to create spaces and atmospheres that evoke emotions and sensations, and that have a positive impact on people. Their collections can be seen in numerous installations around the world, such as the gardens at the Government House building in Sydney (Australia), the Jackson Square Canopy in San Francisco (USA) and the VIP lounges at Rome's Fiumicino and Ciampino airports.
