Vondom's designer furniture is out on the Mediterranean Sea, furnishing the first electric ferry in Spain and the latest addition to the MSC Cruises fleet, the World Europa.
Cap de Barbaria, the first electric ferry in Spain, operates the Ibiza-Formentera route. On this innovative ship, which promotes sustainable, eco-efficient travel, passengers will find different pieces of Vondom's outdoor furniture, both inside and in the outdoor chill out area. Among them is the PIXEL modular sofa designed by Ramón Esteve, which is located on the ship’s outdoor terrace, and two pieces from the FAZ collection: the DAYBED and the new FAZ lounger, created by the same designer. Next to the bar area we discovered the UFO chair and the table from the VASES collection, designed by Ora Ito and EstudiHac respectively. Likewise, the new AFRICA armchair and the MARI-SOL table, created by Eugeni Quitllet, are to be found all over the ship, both inside and outside, offering passengers a sailing with every comfort. Lastly, modular FRAME sofas designed by Ramón Esteve are positioned on both sides of the large, covered area of the ship that protects passengers from the sun and from inclement weather while they look out over the sea.
The new ship MSC World Europa is a majestic floating hotel with 2,626 cabins of six different categories, 13 restaurants, 20 bars, lounges and cafés and can accommodate 2,138 passengers on board. The ship is designed to offer passengers maximum comfort on board, hence the choice of the elegant THE FACTORY collection designed by Ramón Esteve for Vondom that graces "The Lanai", the ship’s entertainment area. Here, modular sofas, armchairs and side tables in aluminum have been chosen, because this is a highly resistant material for outdoor terraces. These pieces have a minimalist design with broad, straight lines and are of large proportions to provide maximum comfort.
