Figueras Seating’s custom solutions for each project are making waves worldwide, with recent examples including their work in iconic buildings across the USA.
In the U.S. capital, they teamed up with Perkins&Will to renovate a historic auditorium at a prestigious university in Washington, D.C., equipping it with Scala 148 seats. With this piece, the auditorium now offers better visibility and comfort, ensuring durability and ergonomics while significantly improving the user experience. And at one of California's most prestigious law schools, the creative minds at MKThink partnered with the Spanish firm to renovate Room 290. This ambitious endeavor aimed to transform a 1970s concrete structure into a versatile, dynamic learning environment, accommodating both intimate academic cohorts and large-scale events. Central to this transformation was the reevaluation of seating, a pivotal component to the user’s experience. The solution involved the installation of custom-designed seating that, when folded, transforms into a bench, thus maximizing the room’s capacity. The result is a multi-functional space that seamlessly adapts to varying group sizes without sacrificing comfort or aesthetic appeal.
Figueras Seating has also equipped the VIP boxes at the Miami International Autodrome, where the annual F1 Grand Prix takes place, with RHOMBUS 13037 seats, providing a premium experience from these special locations This seat model is noted for its wide dimensions, great comfort, and elegant design. In addition, the HOLLYWOOD seat was also chosen to round out the installation, offering a unique experience to a lucky few.
Let's also not forget that last year the Spanish multinational helped renovate the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room at the White House with its FLAME model seats. An elegant high-end seat with beech wood finishes, natural leather with fire barrier, and an aluminum pedestal, renowned for its excellent acoustic properties.
Today, the company, which has a presence in more than 130 countries, is continuing its work on new projects in this market, with the next one being the Victoria Theatre in Harlem, NYC.
