Gan, Nani Marquina, Now Carpets, Woop Rugs, and Naturtex Unveil New Rugs for 2025

This year, leading rug design brands have unveiled their new collections for 2024, showcasing a fascinating combination of creative innovation and traditional craftsmanship.

Gan introduces five collections: BOTANICA, designed by Bodo Sperlein, captures the movement and expressiveness of nature, drawing inspiration from organic forms and textures to create a piece that blends artisanal craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics. MOMOS by Jose-Gandia Blasco features geometric compositions reminiscent of butterfly eggs, highlighted by three-dimensional embroidery that produces a mesmerizing effect. RETI, from Studio Terhedebrugge, takes inspiration from graphic, urban, and editorial elements to recreate a series of grids translated onto a rug. TRAMAS, conceived by Romero & Vallejo, combines traditional techniques with a graphic approach, innovatively fusing weft and warp using felt, a material that, when paired with wool, creates tactile and visual contrasts that enrich the texture and perception of the piece. And VANGUARDIAS by Sandra Figuerola pays tribute to 20th-century art movements, incorporating abstract elements and a bold, vibrant color palette.

Nani Marquina presents three collections: TALK TALK, designed by Jaime Hayon, is a whimsical, handcrafted wool rug made using the hand-tufted technique, opening a dialogue between art and design. NUANCE, created by Stefan Scholten, reinterprets the classic kilim aesthetic with a contemporary expression. And GARDEN & ALGA are original designs exploring the connection between nature and sustainability, evoking landscapes through recycled materials and artisanal techniques.

Now Carpets debuts with its HOLI collection by Ignasi Soler, inspired by the vibrant Indian festival celebrating color and organic harmony. These warm and creative rugs feature fluid curves and unexpected contrasts, resulting in pieces full of energy.

Woop Rugs introduces new designs for the year: FRAME, by Marine Peyre, is a rug with rounded, intersecting edges forming a modular system that encourages playful spatial arrangements. The outdoor collection CITIES consists of customizable interwoven straps designed to fit any space. And SPHERE features rugs and tapestries crafted from high-quality wool, balancing design with functionality.

Finally, Naturtex launches its outdoor collection CAPRI, made from pure polypropylene to withstand all weather conditions. Combining durability with practicality, the collection uses earthy tones and grays for a versatile design suited to both rustic and contemporary settings.
