Lladró has opened its fourth boutique in the New Delhi region and its ninth in India, marking 25 years since the brand first entered the country. This new space has an area of more than 60 square meters and is located in The Chanakya, the capital’s premier shopping destination for home décor, further cementing Lladró’s strong presence in its third-largest global market.
Designed by the architect Héctor Ruiz Velázquez, the boutique evokes the light of the Mediterranean with its white and matte gold interior. Its layout creates experience-based spaces that invite visitors to connect with the artistry of porcelain through the senses. Lamps from the Seasons collection illuminate walkways showcasing iconic pieces, including the limited-edition sculptures Princesa Scheherazade and Caballo Español Alta Escuela, all of which are handcrafted at Lladró’s headquarters in Valencia.
The opening was accompanied by "The Guest in the Urban Oasis - A Conscious Awakening", an installation that combines art, urban nature, and sustainability. At the heart of the show is the iconic The Guest, joined by contemporary collaborations like Ephemeral Treasures by Dulk and Javier Calleja’s Crazy Jungle and You Choose One series. Together, these pieces transform the boutique into a vibrant urban jungle, with each piece contributing to the conversation between porcelain and the environmental message.
Lladró also introduced an exclusive personalization service at The Chanakya for its Firefly lighting collection. This service allows customers to design their own portable lamp, adding their own personal and evocative touch.
Since its founding in 1953, Lladró has brought Valencian porcelain to over 120 countries by combining time-honored craftsmanship with creative innovation. Now in India, with nine boutiques and a network of authorized distributors, the brand celebrates its silver jubilee—renewing its commitment to luxury and Spanish craftsmanship in a market that continues to thrive.
