On December 11, the prestigious American magazine Interior Design held the annual presentation of the Best of Year Awards (BoY), at the theater at BlackRock’s headquarters in Hudson Yards, Manhattan (New York). These awards recognize the best international design projects and products created by designers, architects, and manufacturers from around the world.
In this edition, Spanish companies once again stood out with major awards in the Product category, where 18 companies were nominated; of these, seven brands won this award and another nine received an “Honoree.”
Estiluz won a “Best of the Best” in the “Pendant Lighting” category for VOLTA, a luminaire designed by Nahtrang Studio that combines elegance and functionality. And Gan received another “Best of the Best” in the “Social Impact” category for the BANDAS collection, a groundbreaking modular textile furniture system created by Patricia Urquiola that breaks with the traditional concept of a rug.
Gandia Blasco received double recognition in the Environmental Impact category for HOS by Kengo Kuma, and in the Outdoor Furniture Collection category for DUNNE by Nao Tamura, reaffirming its commitment to innovation and responsible design. iSiMAR also won in the Outdoor Lounge Seating category for HABANA, a concept created by Gensler that fuses aesthetics and durability for outdoor spaces.
Meanwhile, Andreu World won another award in the Contract Lounge Seating category for NINA, a design by Patricia Urquiola that prioritizes comfort and sustainability. Vibia triumphed in the Pendant Fixtures category with FLAMINGO MINI, a luminaire designed by Antoni Arola that turns light into art. Finally, Nanimarquina was recognized in the Residential Rugs + Carpets: Designer Collaboration category for the TALK TALK rug collection designed by Jaime Hayón, which stands out for its creativity and artistic collaboration.
