Spanish Innovation and Design Honored at the 2026 Red Dot Design Awards

This year, 18 Spanish companies and 10 design studios received a Red Dot Design Award in the “Product Design” category.  

In the "Lighting" category, the DIVI pendant luminaire by Arkoslight and the SINIA outdoor light designed by Artec Studio for LedsC4 each won an award. The jury praised DIVI’s striking interplay between its illuminated interior and aluminum exterior: a true dialogue between function and form. And SINIA was praised for its ability to blend seamlessly into natural settings, enhancing them with its understated form and subtle lighting effects.

In the "Bathroom" category, Roca received two awards: one for the In-Wash VOREA smart toilet, recognized for its design, functionality, and timeless style, and another for the sensory experience delivered by the TOUCH-T shower system, created by Nacar Studio. The Fiora brand won two more awards: one for the adaptable WAVE shower tray, designed by Yonoh, and another for the elegant TOUCHY bathtub. Finally, Buto Bath received another accolade for the TABÚ bathroom cabinet, conceived by Summum Studio.

The Gaviota Group received another award for its compact SAMA awning system, as a thoughtfully designed solution for outdoor climate control. The company Seniorcare Interiors, earned another award for CALA, an armchair for people with reduced mobility designed by Alegre Design that combines ergonomics, mobility, and durability. Meanwhile, todobarro took top honors with the BIOCLIMATIC LATTICE modular partition system, conceived by Carlos Jimenez and Alvaro Damian Lopez, which can incorporate both vegetation and birdhouses.

In the "Kitchen" category, awards went to Rekker System, for its innovative GINA 35 kitchen cabinetry, and to Isigona for the COMPAC PRO kitchen utensil set, created by Lluscà Design.

In addition, eight other Spanish brands and three other Spanish design studios received awards, including Benedito Design, Gemma Bernal and Jorge Herrera.

The Red Dot Awards are given annually by the prestigious German design organization "Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen". For more than 65 years, these awards have recognized good design and creativity found in firms across the five continents, whose products it values for their innovation, formal quality, functionality, and timelessness. The awards ceremony took place on July 7 at the Aalto Theater in Essen, Germany.
