The Kettal group, that comprises Kettal and the brands Hugonet and Triconfort, celebrates its 50th birthday this year. In the past 50 years, it’s become one of Spain’s leading outdoor furniture companies, not to mention a high-profile, global brand. We at Interiors From Spain congratulate it and invite our readers to check out its latest contributions to five-star hotels all over the world.
Our journey kicks off in Mexico, where Kettal has furnished the outdoor areas and balconies of the rooms at the JW Marriott Los Cabos Beach Report & Spa, a luxury hotel in the exclusive spot of Puertos Los Cabos in the Mexican state of Baja California Sur. Here, sitting or reclining on pieces from Kettal’s Landscape, Net, Pavilions and Triconfort Riba collections, we can be soothed by the calm Pacific Ocean. We fly from there to the Indian Ocean and land in the exclusive hotel complex Savoy Resort & Spa on the idyllic Seychelles. Seating from Kettal’s Bitta collection by Rodolfo Dordoni and Maia line by Patricia Urquiola can be found in this spectacular hotel.
Next, we’re after somewhere to do business and relax, and the best place for this is our next destination — Dubai. So we decide to stay at the city’s Sheraton Grand hotel. There, beside its swimming pool, on sun loungers and armchairs from the Landscape collection, we can contemplate Dubai’s exotic sunset. And, to close the deal, we fly to Moscow, where we’re greeted by the Bitta and Vieques collections gracing the terrace of the Ritz-Carlton in the historic, cultural and business centre of Russia’s capital city.
To toast our business trip’s success, we relax at the Lanserhof Tegernsee, Europe’s most modern spa and winner of one the UK’s European Hotel Design Awards for best hotel in the ‘New Build’ category. Located in the Austrian Tyrol, this combines sustainable architecture, a stunning hotel area and exclusive spaces for personalised clinical care. Park Life, designed by Jasper Morrison, and Bitta were chosen for it. We ended our fabulous trip on the Mediterranean coast, where Kettal was born, then touched down in Mallorca at the hotel Gran Melía de Mar where we encountered the Net, Pavilions and Objects collections, designed by Kettal’s in-house team, the ZigZag collection by Emiliana Design Studio, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec’s Stampa chairs, Dordoni’s Bitta and Boma collections and Doshi Levien’s Terrain Fabrics textiles. Congratulations, Kettal, for accompanying usa round the world!
