Spanish brand iSiMAR made its mark at the Cannes Film Festival with a selection of pieces from its Lagarto collection, featured at the Beach Club of the iconic Regent Carlton Cannes hotel. The modular sofas and armchairs, finished in yellow, brought color and visual lightness to one of the most recognizable settings along the famous La Croisette promenade.
The Carlton Cannes, part of Regent Hotels & Resorts, is one of the premier luxury hospitality icons on the French Riviera. Famous for its Belle Époque architecture and iconic twin domes, it boasts a private beach, gourmet restaurants, and a large interior garden. Among its standout venues is the Carlton Beach Club, overlooking the Mediterranean and transformed into one of the chief gathering spots during the Cannes Film Festival, thanks to the hotel’s status as a favorite among celebrities.
Within this space, you’ll find the modular sofa and armchairs from the Lagarto collection. Designed by ILMIODESIGN, this sofa stands out for its curved-rod structure, inspired by the movement and contours of the tail of the lizard that gives the collection its name. It consists of several modules that can be arranged in a variety of configurations, from spacious pieces designed for large gathering areas to more intimate solutions for cozy corners or lounge areas. The Lagarto family began with the modular sofa and gradually expanded to include new pieces, such as armchairs, sofas in various sizes, stools, and tables.
The project showcases the brand’s ability to adapt its pieces to exclusive, high-profile hospitality spaces, and their inclusion at the Carlton Cannes is a clear example of the presence of Spanish design in internationally renowned contract projects.
