In Miraflores, the coastal, tourist district in the Peruvian capital, stands the nhow Lima, a new five-star hotel whose interior design was developed by the architects Juli Capella and Miquel García of Capella García Arquitectura. The challenge the Spanish studio faced was to weave Peru’s ancestral culture into the contemporary, provocative architectural language that defines the nhow chain. In this project, the firm LZF, renowned for its handcrafted wood-veneer luminaires, contributes three designs that converse with the hotel’s aesthetic, demonstrating that lighting is a key element in shaping an atmosphere.
In the Amazonian cuisine restaurant, Zönico, the folds of the Swirl pendant lamp gleam gracefully above the tables; its ribbons of noble material turn with a gentle motion, becoming a precise expression of fluidity. In this same dining space, the golden silhouettes of the Dandelion pendant lights bloom in another area of the dining room, emitting a burst of light from within that captures the delicate balance between nature and geometry.
Inside the guest rooms, the Escape lamp offers a moment of calm and serenity. With a design that is delicate yet architectural, it creates an atmosphere of warmth that invites rest.
Each LZF luminaire reaffirms its conviction that light is not only seen, but also felt. The elegance and mastery of Valencia’s artisans travel all the way to the vibrant city of Lima, and with the presence of these distinctive pieces in this new hotel complex, light transcends its technical function to become an expressive element that defines the hotel’s character and weaves itself into the city’s visual identity.
