The Spanish artisanal furniture firm Expormim unveils two of its latest international projects at the Locke Hotel in Berlin and Hôtel de Buci in Paris.
The Locke Hotel, located in Berlin's iconic East Side Gallery, is one of the seventeen European destinations of the British chain Locke Living. Designed by Grzywinski+Pons, this modern hotel project, consisting of 176 studios and suites, features innovative public spaces such as coworking areas and event spaces. Its proximity to the Berlin Wall is reflected in the design details, highlighted by the Fontal rattan armchair by Oscar Tusquets Blanca, upholstered in pastel pink, and the Gres stool by Miguel Milá, which adds a touch of freshness with its vibrant green color.
In Paris, the renovated Hôtel de Buci, nestled in the historic Saint Germain-des-Prés district, presents itself as a cozy haven of elegance. The transformation of its interiors, carried out by Studio CMPS, reinterprets the classic Parisian style in spaces that blend tradition and modernity. In the restaurant, conceived as a luminous conservatory, two key pieces in rattan stand out: the Altet chair and the Gres high stool, which, along with velvet sofas and wicker details, reinforce the sophisticated and cozy atmosphere of the space.
These facilities stand out for their ability to tell stories: in Berlin, the Locke Hotel stands as a testament to the resilience and transformation of a city shaped by its past, while in Paris, the Hôtel de Buci embodies the elegance and dynamism of a neighborhood that is synonymous with culture and modernity. In this context, the Spanish firm's artisanal furniture pieces elevate these narratives with their elegance, warmth, and versatility.
These projects exemplify Expormim's and Spanish design's commitment to enhancing the identity and functionality of international hotel spaces, merging craftsmanship, innovation, and a profound respect for local history and culture.
