Nomon is a leading manufacturer of exclusive wall clocks for homes, offices and public spaces. A highly considered design process sees it create clocks which have a great visual impact and are enduring in terms of their functionality and aesthetic appeal. Nomon’s main aim is to transform the wall clock into a luxurious, distinctive feature.
It manufactures its wall clocks in its workshops, using a combination of cutting-edge and hand-crafted techniques. When developing its creations, it has mainly collaborated with José María Reina, a versatile, self-taught designer who is part of a generation that has helped promote Barcelona as a high-profile centre of industrial design. His multidisciplinary work in fields as diverse as furniture and jewellery has led him to fuse both disciplines, and create a new concept of wall clock that’s forward-looking in both its form and materials.
Over half of the company’s clocks are destined for interior design projects in hotels, restaurants and offices all over the world. What’s more, Nomon regularly collaborates with Italian company Poliform, which features its clocks in its showrooms, laboratories and catalogues.
A family business, Nomon was founded in 2001. Since then, its clocks have stood out for their eye for detail and delicately executed finishes that transform them into veritable jewels for the home and workspaces. Its most iconic designs include OJ and Bilbao.
Nomon exports 80 per cent of its goods to over 70 countries. These are available from the world’s leading design shops, including Design Within Reach, The Conran Shop, Vinçon and Silvera. Today, Nomon increasingly sells its products to Russia and to Arab and Asian countries.
