Original flowerpot holders designed for the firm Systemtronic.
Barcelona-based industrial design studio Mermelada Estudio continues its burst of intense creative activity, this time around designing its original Green Light flowerpot holders for Spanish furniture and homeware company Systemtronic.
Resembling lamps apparently sprouting vegetation, the flowerpot holders come in two versions – a circular and freestanding one and one that’s rectangular and hangs from the ceiling or rests on a table. A mix of aluminium and galvanised steel in their frames make these pieces suitable for both indoor and outdoor spaces. They’re available in different sizes and circular shapes – and are bound to wow anyone who sets eyes on them for the first time.
Thanks to the addition of this new product, Mermelada Estudio has broadened its experience of collaborating with interior decoration companies. Its portfolio of designs ranges from its Equis outdoor furniture for the firm Oi Side to its decorative lighting collection called Maya for Almerich.
For over 23 years, Systemtronic has designed and made occasional office furniture under the name Classic; its tables, brackets and accessories for personal computers are the firm’s signature pieces. The company has recently added a new collection called Advanced, which sees it enlist young design studios, such as Enblanc, STC and Mermelada Estudio, to create pieces. The resulting designs are pared-down, neutral-looking, making them ideal for cutting-edge projects, while architects and interior designers are inevitably drawn to their eye-catching aesthetic.
