The ceramic surfaces and flooring group Peronda has recently launched new products, including its Roll, Play, Onza and Bowl designs created by Spanish studios Dsignio, MUT Design and Stone Designs for Peronda’s brand, Harmony.
Dsignio has created the cement-effect Play and Roll tiles. Play riffs on the geometry of a hexagon, resulting in a very appealing, fun design which takes us back to our childhoods and, more specifically, to the origami paper birds we all played with as kids. The collection’s four designs allow the user to create an infinite number of patterns and shapes with which to decorate a room. Roll is a hexagonal design which plays with space, allows for a mulititude of configurations and gives any room a strong character. All these configurations are created with a single piece which can be rotated and positioned in different ways, according to the user’s taste. Disingio has also created Harmony’s Gen, Kin and Core collections.
Meanwhile, MUT Design has wowed once again with its irresistible collection Onza, a conceptual, minimalist, modular design inspired by chocolate bars. Onza comprises just three ceramic pieces with invisible joins, which allow for an infinite number of configurations. It comes in three colours, grey, terracotta and white, arouse very different emotional responses. MUT Design continues its collaboration with the Peronda group, for which it has already created the Droops and Keidos cement floor tiles and the reflective ceramic surface Scales.
Finally, Stone Designs has created Bowl, a tile that’s organic in form, with a subtle bas-relief pattern, which offers countless configurations, resulting in different effects according to the way the tiles are positioned. The studio loves playing with colour combinations, which is why, in this design, it has enjoyed playing with repeating elements, which allows for using both solid colours and pastel tones.
These collections are the result of a collaboration between these studios and Harmony, a specialist, high-end design brand that is part of Peronda’s initiative Peronda Fashion Lab. This was conceived as a laboratory of ideas involving collaborations between this cross-disciplinary project and high-profile designers.
