Spanish furniture brand Agrippa has unveiled this year’s new pieces. The eclectic designs by Paco Camús surprise interior decorators and designers all over the world.
Salma and Clapton are part of the new seating collection. Salma turns the chair’s wooden structure into flowing movement, redefining the symbiosis between sensuality and simplicity. Clapton is inspired by tubular metal structures. The wood has been carefully handcrafted to create a bending-pipe effect. The master lines are as simple and harmonious as the later songs of Eric Clapton, from whom this piece takes its name.
The seating collection is rounded off with the Swanson sofa, where soft, changeable upholstery forms are contained with mathematical precision and a contour-defining wooden profile. Armchair Isadora, presented in 2016, now has its own separate footstool to complete the set.
Where tables are concerned, Camus has launched Texas, Nadia and Pigalle. The first two have a tabletop made by Compac the surfaces company. Other accessories include the striking Hercules bar cabinet, which plays on contrast. Its prismatic volume is crossed with horizontal stripes and resembles a building façade. The cabinet is topped with an inlaid “Hercules Smilodon” skull. Other items in the collection include mirror Love Me Do with curving, organic shapes of Sixties inspiration, and the Leónidas screen.
