Spanish lighting brand Ole! Lighting has added a new landmark project to its portfolio in the Netherlands: the Japanese restaurant Kyatcha in The Hague, designed by Art2Go Interieurprojecten.
Kyatcha, which also has an establishment in the city of Rotterdam, focuses on a contemporary concept of Japanese gastronomy, its hallmark that the interior design team, led by Erik Remmers, wanted to capture with a modern and elegant space. Over a backdrop of gray tones, some of the most eye-catching visual elements are a large vertical garden, gold-colored metallic fabrics that outline the seating areas and the BANYO and UKELELE lamps by Ole! that have a dual purpose of illuminating and decorating.
These designs, composed of a metal structure hanging from hand-braided rope, create a sift effect for the light giving it greater prominence and allowing it to artistically mingle with the lines and materials chosen to enhance the elegance of the restaurant. These lamps perfectly adapt to any type of environment as there are multiple color and shape options, and they also come in a large format.
This is not Ole!'s first project in the Netherlands, where it also worked alongside Art2Go Interieurprojecten to bring lighting to the Lucky Apple restaurant in Waalwijk. The firm's designs can also be found in other European countries, such as Belgium and Estonia, where it has outfitted venues such as the FOMU photographic museum in Antwerp and the Trühvel restaurant in Tallinn.
Ole! Lighting is the brand under which the Spanish company FM Iluminación –with almost 30 years of experience– has been marketing its most avant-garde design collections since 2006.
