We have just learned about this year’s Spanish winners of the Red Dot Design Awards in the categories of “Product Design” and “Best of the Best”.  Spain has received 25 awards, involving 22 companies and nine design studios. 


Among the three Spanish companies awarded “Best of the Best”, Rols Carpets is notable in the habitat category, recognized for their innovative hand-woven carpets from the STRATA collection, created in collaboration with the London-based design studio Wallace Sewell.


In the “Product Design” category for furniture, four firms have been honored: Andreu World received an award for its sustainably produced ergonomic GALA PURE ECO chair, designed by Piergiorgio Cazzaniga. Vondom was recognized for the MILOS outdoor furniture collection, created by Jean-Marie Massaud, celebrated for its comfort and perfect blend of top-quality material. Actiu secured another accolade for the OWWI armchair and sofa series by Arnau Reyna, noted for its harmonious and flowing design. And Musola's BAGA terrace chair from the IN IN/OUT collection was also awarded, praised for its sustainable approach and artisan manufacturing.  


In the bathroom category, Sanycces received two awards for the OASIS and DUNA bathtub and washbasin collections, designed by Jorge Herrera's studio. Roca was honored for the AVANT toilet, featuring innovative technology eliminating the need for an external cistern. Noken, part of the Porcelanosa Group, won recognition for the SWAN single-lever mixer by ERRE Arquitectura, while Ramón Soler was awarded for the PRISMA single-lever mixer.  


Other awarded companies in the habitat sectors include: Arkoslight for their COCO spotlight in lighting;Cocinas Rekker for the robust and elegant outdoor kitchen ROK-Edición Carbone in kitchenware; and Casa Vigar for the minimalist FLAP tray set designed by EstudiHac in decorative accessories. 


The Red Dot Awards are given annually by the prestigious German design organization "Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen". For more than 65 years, these awards have recognized good design and creativity found in firms across the five continents, whose products it values for their innovation, formal quality, functionality, and timelessness.
