From September 12 to October 16, Valencia will once again become the global epicenter of design, thanks to a packed program that brings together the Feria Hábitat Valencia and Textilhogar fairs with the Valencia Design Fest 2025. Adding to these major events are the first-ever DIN Awards and the 40th anniversary celebration of the Association of Designers of the Valencian Community (ADCV), making for an agenda filled with exhibitions, talks, workshops, and much more.
From September 29 to October 2, Feria Hábitat Valencia and Textilhogar will open their eight pavilions spanning 90,000 m² to more than 700 furniture, lighting, textiles, and home goods brands. Among this year's standout installations, Tomás Alía, the 2022 recipient of the Gold Medal for Fine Arts, will recreate “Barracas,” a sustainable hotel concept featuring eight suites designed by Pascua Ortega, Odosdesign, Pepe Cosín, and Clap Studio that pay tribute to traditional Valencian architecture; “Raíces,” an exhibition of vases crafted from DANA debris by Héctor Serrano, winner of the 2024 National Design Award; and “Pinknic, textile experience,” an installation by Sigfrido Serra that will bathe Textilhogar in pink. The fair will also feature the Conscious Materiality exhibition, a collaboration with Material Bank, along with a brand-new space — Contract 360 — spotlighting innovations for the public and contract design sectors. For the first time, the fair will host “Tempocraft,” the first exhibition of contemporary “Made in Spain” craftsmanship, along with the debut of the new DIN Interior Design Awards. This long list of new additions that will be joined by the renowned Salón nude, a platform for emerging design talent, which will also host the Ágora nude lecture series. This year, "nude" will be conceptualized by José Manuel Ferrero (Estudi{H}ac) in collaboration with Finsa. He will transform nude’25 into an athletics track, a striking visual concept inspired by "the vital energy of emerging creators," which will create a "metaphor in motion” through a “bold circuit of ideas, forms, and materials where young talent truly comes to life.”
The Valencia Design Fest, which inherited Valencia’s 2022 World Design Capital title, will kick off with a celebration at MuVIM, then spread throughout the city with urban tours, workshops, and talks. Highlights include “Time and Matter”, an exhibition by Estudio Savage that blends craftsmanship and gastronomy, and a series of talks on human-centered architecture, presented in collaboration with the Territorial College of Architects and the UPV. The “Retro Vision” series will revisit the experimental spirit of the ’70s and ’80s through events organized by Tráfico de Modas and La Nau. Meanwhile, the international event “Future of Fashion” will explore the challenges of sustainable fashion at La Harinera, led by Patricia Moreno Barberá.
The Association of Designers of the Valencian Community is celebrating its 40th anniversary with an extensive program running through the end of the year. Following its 16th València Disseny Week in June, the association is bringing back its Bareando meetups this September, along with “Cuadrilátero,” a debate on AI and creativity. The “Design with Positive Impact” conference and the collaboration with the “Miradors de l’Horta” festival will also continue. In addition, “Talleres XL” and “Disseny a peu de carrer” invite the public to explore design in the city’s urban spaces.
Finally, the Association of Interior Designers of the Valencian Community (CDCIV) is launching the first edition of the DIN Awards, created to recognize innovation and the social impact of interior design. The awards ceremony will take place on October 1 at the Centre del Carme Cultura Contemporània, right in the midst of Feria Hábitat, honoring projects that transform spaces and improve people’s lives.
