On June 7, coinciding with the opening of the NeoCon trade show, the 13th edition of the HiP Awards, organized by the U.S. design magazine Interior Design, was held at THE MART in Chicago. These awards recognize some of the most innovative products and professionals in the commercial design sector, making them one of the leading events on the international architecture and design calendar in the USA.
Spain’s presence was once again notable. Among the awards received, Viccarbe stood out, winning the prize in the “Workplace: Lounge Collection” thanks to its Missiva sofa collection. Andreu World also won three awards in the categories of “Environmental Impact” for Pascal Lounge, “Hospitality: Seating” for Patin and Workplace: Seating for Hula, cementing its position as one of the leading international design firms. This year, it also received seven awards at Best of NeoCon 2026, and the Patin seating collection, designed by Patricia Urquiola, won the Best of NeoCon 2026 People’s Choice Award, the prize awarded by public vote.
In addition, several Spanish companies were recognized as “Honorees” in various categories, including: in “Outdoor Products,” iSiMAR for Ona and RS Barcelona for the Folding Monochrome ping-pong table; Expormim for Meridies in “Outdoor Furniture Collection,” and Andreu World, for Hula Club in “Workplace: Lounge Seating”.
This year, Interior Design magazine also honored in May at the NYCxDesign Awards 2026, the company Gan for the New Origins collection, which won in the “Residential Rugs & Carpets” category. In addition, six other Spanish firms were among the finalists at this prestigious event: Cosentino, Faro Barcelona, Estiluz, Marset, Expormim and iSiMAR.
These accolades reflect the ability of Spanish companies to compete at the very highest level in the international market, delivering innovation, sustainability, and quality design.
