Marset luminaires shine outside the Fattoria de Vignamaggio, a historic wine estate and hotel over six centuries old, set in Tuscany, Italy. Interior designer Emmanuelle Sebillet oversaw the restoration and revitalization of this rural space.
Nestled among the hills of the Chianti region, Vignamaggio is a distinctive complex surrounded by vineyards, gardens, and architecture. At its heart lies La Fattoria, a place where seasonal cuisine, local craftsmanship, and everyday rituals come together to open the doors of the estate through an unpretentious form of hospitality.
Conceived as a natural extension of its surroundings, the project unfolds through light, materiality, and a series of precise, restrained interventions. An approach that sees restoration not as preserving the past, but as a way to redefine how the estate is lived in and experienced today.
To illuminate the outdoor spaces, Emmanuelle Sebillet chose the Ginger and Plaff-on! luminaires, created by Joan Gaspar , whose timeless, understated design added a contemporary layer to these spaces. “During the day, the large openings flood the interiors with natural light; as night falls, Marset’s lighting takes over with a warm glow, subtly connecting the gardens and terraces with the interior spaces, maintaining that same sense of continuity,” said Emmanuelle. For her, the Spanish brand’s luminaires help create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes it possible to comfortably enjoy the estate from day into night.
