In the latest edition of the iF Design Awards, 44 Spanish companies and 28 Spanish design studios were honored with this prestigious award for their talent and innovation.
Among the award-winning furniture design pieces is Actiu's MEETIA armchair, designed by Ramón Esteve, which blends industrial elegance and functionality for contract spaces. Other winners include the LIVIANA armchair by Perobell, designed by Gabriel Teixido, the NIU swing chair by Musola, created by Santiago Sevillano Studio, the MT chair by Pecadora, and the RAYURE collection by Zavotti, created by designer Eli Gutiérrez. The outdoor furniture piece MAKI developed by Idea Design was recognized in the product category.
Lighting design also received numerous awards. Arkoslight 's COCO spotlight, with a 360° rotation system and multiple emission angles, was honored alongside Tecsoled's TACO and CURVE AH3535 luminaires. Architectural lighting was revolutionized by Nathrang Studio and Nexia’s collaborative BELLE and PORTE luminaires, alongside Onok Lighting's MICRO system, designed by Alegre Design. PerezOchando’s The W suspension lamp for Marset, which takes its inspiration from an old-fashioned winding machine, also won an award.
The bathroom sector had a notable presence. Royo Group's TUYO collection reinvents sanitary furniture with a personal and adaptable approach, while Roca's OHTAKE collection, combining organic lines and high-quality materials, offers a sophisticated experience. In the shower category, awards went to the WAVE shower tray, a minimalist design created by Yonoh for Fiora, Roca's FLOW-T column, which integrates innovation and technology to enhance self-care spaces, and Profiltek's VERSATIL shower enclosure. Other winners included the DEDAL collection of faucets designed by estudi{H}ac for Sanycces, inspired by iconic sewing tools, especially thimbles; the FLAT toilet brush designed by Jordi Esteve for Industria Cosmic; the CASSIOPEIA mirror by Muka Design for Uraldi; and Tucai's TUCAI PREMIUM hose and valve range.
In textiles, wall coverings, tableware, and kitchen, Spanish design demonstrated its capacity to innovate with sustainable materials and techniques. The VARETA wall covering by Gutierrez y Ortega for Greenarea transforms walls into sensory experiences through recycled materials, while the WEAVING collection by estudi{H}ac for Kriskadecor turns aluminum chains into striking decorative elements. In kitchen and tableware, Tres Comercial's ZEN electronic faucet and Gemma Bernal Studio's WINGS tableware add to the country's design offerings.
Lastly, we’d like to give a special mention to the design agency Lúcid, which took home three awards, and the design studio Anima Design, which won two.
With nearly 11,000 entries from 66 countries, this year's judges placed special emphasis on sustainability as one of the key values driving product innovation.
