Andreu World and Expormim Winners at the German Design Awards 2021

The winning companies and the design and architecture studios with special mentions in the prestigious German Design Awards 2021 were published this year´s first trimester . Among the Spanish brands recognized are the designer furniture companies Andreu World, Expormim and Ondarreta, the designers Patricia Urquiola and Dídac Ballester and the architecture studio Fran Silvestre.

Andreu World had success in the "Excellent Product Design" category, as they won the award for the "Gardening and Outdoor Living" section, with the AIRE OUTDOOR armchair, lounge chair and lounger collection designed by Piergiorgio Cazzaniga. Patricia Urquiola also received a special mention in this same product section, for creating the new version of the NUEZ OUTDOOR chair. In this same category Ondarreta received another special mention, in the "Office Furniture" section, for the OLA folding screen designed by Silvia Ceñal.  
 
Dídac Ballester is the graphic designer who created the Expormim company website, which won the "German Design Award" in the category "Excellent Communications Design Web".

Finally, the Fran Silvestre architectural firm received a special mention in the "Excellent Architecture Architecture" category for their PATI BLAU house project in Valencia (Spain).

The German Design Awards are one of the most respected design awards in Germany, providing their recipients with outstanding prestige all around the world. These distinguished awards, founded ten years ago, are presented by the German Design Council, which each year recognizes projects and products worldwide which represent pioneering contributions to the arena of international design.
