Marset design lamps are ideal for decorating restaurants and hotels because of their design and versatility. We show you two of their latest international projects: the Dame restaurant in the Australian city of Melbourne and the Comfort hotel in the Swedish city of Arlanda.
The Dame Restaurant is a project by Bergman & Co. and is inspired by the striking architecture of Collins Place in Melbourne, designed by I.M. Pei and inaugurated in 1981. Dame's narrative centers on a fictional muse from the 1980s; a powerful, well-connected, and rather fabulous woman. The café lobby reflects optimism for the future in a post-covid world. The restaurant opened in January 2022 after 18 months of work and aims to become a new meeting place that will captivate office workers returning after a two-year hibernation in the city.
A place suitable for all-day dining and where the large BOHEMIA suspension lamps, created by Joan Gaspar, shine. Joan Gaspar and the BICOCA lamps, designed by Christophe Mathieu a cordless and lightweight piece that was born with the optimism to brighten up life and accompany you in the good times, wherever you go.
On the other side of the globe, in the Swedish city of Arlanda, near Stockholm, we find the Comfort Hotel, a project designed by the Haeg Interioarchitektur studio. Lighting has the ability to transform spaces, but if the light is also filtered through amber, it manages to transmit maximum warmth, and the effect is extraordinary. This is what happens in this hotel, where the fascinating suspended DIPPING LIGHTS, designed by Jordi Canudas coexist with the BOHEMIA lamps and the iconic FOLLOW ME portable lamps, designed by Inma Bermudez. All of them are innovative designs that have an impact on the project—an open and colorful place—and make it a hotel with character.
