A few weeks ago, the companies and design studios who are winners of this year’s German Design Awards were announced. Two Spanish furniture companies won an award: TM / Leader Contract was a winner in the "Excellent Product Design Furniture" category for the NARA chair designed by Carlos Soriano, and Expormim won in the "Excellent Product Design Design Classics and Re-editions" section for the re-edition of the LAPALA seating created by the Lievore Altherr Molina studio.
Furthermore, in the "Excellent Product Design Furniture" category, Mobliberica received two "special mentions" for the ORU chair and the KEDUA bench, designed by Santiago Sevillano. The company Actiu also received a "special mention" in this category for its BEE chair, as did Tecsoled the JULIA luminaire in the "Excellent Product Design Lighting" section.
In the "Excellent Product Design Bath and Wellness" section, Profiltek’s integrated audio system SOUND PANEL received another "special mention". The PIXEL ONE children's bike designed by Anima Design for Pixel bikes received another "mention" in the "Excellent Product Design Baby and Child Care” category, as did the new finishes inspired by Font Barcelona’s "BCNY" concept created by Oriol Guimerà in the "Excellent Product Design Building and Elements" section.
In architecture projects, the architecture studio ERRE arquitectura received a "Gold Award" in the "Excellent Architecture Interior Architecture" category for their work on the ALEJANDRIA Dermatology and Aesthetics Clinic in Valencia (Spain), and architecture studio Arrova-Atelier Rojo-Vergara was the winner in the "Excellent Architecture Interior Architecture" section for LOFT A, a former motorcycle workshop transformed into a house and studio in the Spanish city of Pamplona. In addition, the following also received "special mentions" Clara Lleal Interiorista for an Art Gallery in Badalona, and Aima Estudio for the "La Senda de Omaña" restaurant in Madrid.
