The American publication Interior Design Magazine has just announced this year’s finalists and winners of the NYCxDESIGN awards. And of the eight Spanish design pieces nominated, four have won one of the much-coveted awards.
Gan, part of the Gandía Blasco Group, was the winner of two awards, one in “Outdoor Furniture Collection” for the MANGAS collection of organically shaped rugs and poufs created by Patricia Urquiola, and in “Residential Flooring” for the GIRO range of rugs with mathematical curves created by Mut Design.
In “Architectural Lighting,” an award went to the PLUSMINUS lighting system designed by Stefan Diez for Vibia.
In “Outdoor Products,” the OBI collection of sofas and armchairs conceived by Ludovica & Roberto Palomba for Expormim won out.
Among the Spanish companies who were finalists at this 11th edition of the awards were Gandía Blasco, Estiluz, LedsC4, and Point, which has just won an Hospitality Design Award for the PARAREL collection by Gabriel Teixidó.
